@silverarm0r Fair, but I like how tactile it is. It always feels like I'm loading up a howitzer and firing a shell of caffeine into my cup. Example from @Casa_Tilo https://t.co/qqIFtyVTxi

If you're into movement as a generalist discipline, you should keep your eyes on Marcello Palozzo. He's doing something interesting and wildly ambitious ๐Ÿ‘€

been fucking around with some buteyko practices and discovered a particular sensation when overbreathing. and now i can just stop doing it for long periods of time makes it much easier to practice and calibrate, but the downside is gentle air hunger for hours ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

At minimum I would move the spine around in various ways + circle all the joints. Tension is cumulative, it collects over months and years. And it creates numbness in a way that makes it difficult to notice . Motion activates various receptors so you start to feel more

It's very beneficial to take the time to feel the body (by moving it) before starting training. It will create a much richer map of the body and make it more effective + reduce the chance of injuries e.g. if I notice my knee feels weird, I won't do heavy squats or running today https://t.co/1dpUVL1GH4

Recently funemployed and finally have time to train 2x a day! Last week my mind was resisting, distracting, and negotiating quite a lot when I wanted to practice and I didn't clear the bar even once. This week, much quieter. It still tries to wrestle free but it gives up more quickly. "We are going to train today. Yes, even though we already trained in the morning." I look forward to the clarity, peace, and extra energy once the negotiating fully subsides!

silly goose day at the gym - once every week or two, i let myself run around the gym doing exercises just to try shit out. not part of any program, just feeling out what the body needs or experimenting ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™‚๏ธ

A common trap is only being able to feel parts of the body in its end ranges, like stretching all the way to one side or the other. You don't need to always push the body 100%, but become sensitive to, and refine, perecption in the whole range between end ranges

It's much easier to feel what's going on with the body when it's moving. In the action-perception loop, both parts of the process happen at the same time. Taking action gathers perceptions. E.g. moving the hand also means feeling the new position of the hand ๐Ÿ‘‹

A good movement practice offers feedback so we can notice any issues with our bodies. It helps us correct those issues and enables us to plan better for the future, so the same problems don't happen again.

Alright but genuinely, I'm working through the climbar system for the 5 year movement education program I'm going through. And this was the only indoor setup that worked ๐Ÿ˜‚ https://t.co/JlB7qUsIOX
